A school project from an advanced Typography class, I was tasked with creating a cover and individual layouts for an artists magazine based on the topics of design in its different iterations. This magazine was designed with the aesthetic of a chic, professional publication. It Highlights influential artists' careers and gives expert design tips.
The Weelicious cookbook was an older school project assigned at one of my very first design classes in college.
I recently challenged myself to redesign this project in regards to the knowledge of design placement that I have gained. This project displays healthy and easy-to-follow recipes designed with more of a family dynamic in mind.
(Also features advertising layouts!)
A project from a high-level design class, this project combines type layout with the integration of illustrations helping to visually describe what is happening in the scenes of the corresponding pages. This project was a test in portraying Images contorted around the the text of the book in order to highlight story context and immersion.
From the same class as the Graphinica project, I was assigned to create a book cover, front and back, utilizing text. Using wording directly interspersed with imagery, (instead of being aligned to), contextual themes of the story come together in order to form a portrait of the protagonist.
(Also includes social media layouts for advertising!)
A final assignment from a high-level design class, a more recent project which demonstrates the use of creative typographical layout with a quote being the focus point of the piece. With this project, I utilized imagery in a more subdued fashion in comparison to the other projects here.
